Outrigger Island!

The Vacation Bible School theme for this year is Outrigger Island. It's a Hawaiian theme, and we are stoked about it! Drew and I LOVE VBS, and we look forward to it each year. This year we will be teaching the Middle School class. Yay! :) Love those kids.

I offered to make hairpins for all the girls that will be coming to VBS at our church. This is one of those ideas that I had in my head and got SO excited about, and then I'm only now making them a month or two later! Sheesh!! But here they are! I decorated various Prima flowers and just hot-glued them onto basic bobby pins. Easy-peasy! Which is GREAT for VBS because you end up mass-producing quite a bit! You could use ANY Primas you want (which are on SALE right now at Limelight Papercrafts!) and embellish with rhinestones, Baubles, brads....why not ribbon if you wanted to! I am even thinking about spraying mine with Glimmer Mist for sparkle. :)

I can't wait to see how excited the girls will be to wear these pretties in their hair! Now I'm just trying to think of a cool little gift for the boys. I am thinking hair pins are not so great for boys.

Here is my little "model" wearing a Prima hair pin! Pretty good for a 7-month-old, I think! Sweet girl...
