It's time for another Limelight Sketch and Product Challenge! And the focus this time around is on SENTIMENTS! This week's challenge was actually inspired by the wonderful Amy Tsuruta! She created this card, which I fell in love with!!:
I thought that the sketch for this card would be PERFECT for our challenge, and Amy graciously allowed us to use her sketch. Thanks, Amy! Can't wait to see what you come up with for your cards this time around!
This is the card I created. I haven't made a card in probably over a week (gasp!), and I feel like this card is not my usual style. But it is cute and simple, and it fits the bill for the four year old girl who has a birthday party tomorrow night. :) I used Pink Fairy for my card base and added on two pieces of paper from the Lemonade paper pad, scalloping the edges, of course. I added the cutie poodle from the June Bug Chip Sticker Shapes pack, and I made her wish someone a sweet day using the word bubble from SU's Crazy Cool and the sentiment from Mix Up of Cuteness (Unity). If you look at some of the diamonds in the argyle design, you'll notice that I painted on some Pixie Dust Blingz to add a little shimmer! The polka dots on the pooch are actually highlighted with Blingz as well, though it is a little more subtle!

I am finally back on track and got a card finished for this sketch. I guess you could say I used the sketch as inspiration or that I took some liberties with the sketch. Hopefully, it's not too far off. Just in case, I plan to make another card that follows the sketch more literally!
