I Am Helped
This Monday, a friend of mine from high school passed away. He graduated a couple of years after I did, but we went to church together and were good friends. He died at the age of 26 because of Cystic Fibrosis and other complications. We are praying especially for his wife (whom I have not met) during this time. This is NOT a tragedy, although the world would have us see it that way. No, instead, this is a victory! You see, my friend did not live a life of regret...he knew Jesus and made him known! There is no question of his salvation, and there is therefore no tragedy in this story.
We've had lots of needs for sympathy cards in the past couple of weeks, sadly enough, and this is one that I made a few of. I used the Wisteria paper pad from Basic Grey for the butterflies and the background strips of paper. I used my brand new Martha Stewart butterfly punch (you may get sick of seeing it in the next few days!!) and the new Basic Grey pearls in Lilac/Violet. I thought this sentiment from the Something Within set by Unity Stamp Company would be PERFECT!
Hope you have a wonderful day! Happier cards in the next few days... ;)

So sorry to hear about your friend. Sympathy cards are the worst to make. I just love your card. Very soothing colors - I'm sure his wife will love it.
So sorry to hear of your friend's passing. I love the symbolism of butterflies. They are so comforting.
I am so sorry to hear about your friend, but he's in a better place and pain free... You have such a kind soul.
What a gorgeous card. It's sure to uplift your friend's wife. I sincerely hope that your need for sympathy cards dissipates quickly!
This is a beautiful card for a very sad time..
