Happy Trees

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful week! I wanted to share a couple of cute cards I made this week. I like to get a lot done while I am making cards, but I do admit to having a bit of paper crafting ADD! I can't stay with the same design for too long. I love for each card I create to be individualized. A good compromise for me is to use the same layout and stamps, but change up the patterned paper/colors and card orientation (vertical or horizontal).

As you can see, I made some cards using the new Unity November store kit, Believe in Fairytales. I cannot tell you how much I LOVE this set! Quite versatile. ;) I knew right away I wanted to paper-piece these trees! I used basically the same layout and the same embellishments (PTI buttons and linen thread), but changed the orientation (horizontal to vertical) and the patterned papers. For the pink card, I used Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses. Yep, it's a Christmas line. On a non-Christmas card! Hee hee! For the green and yellow card, I used the Crate Paper Lemongrass - Lime paper. Love how those earthy papers can feel so BRIGHT and happy!

Hope you enjoyed these cards! They were lots of fun to make! See you soon for a special DT announcement! And see you tomorrow for the Limelight Sketch and Product Challenge!! :)

Believe With All Your Heart!

*Update: I am still contacting designers, and I will post the new design team members very soon!!*

Good morning! Just a quick card to share with you this morning! We are on the way out to a birthday party!

This card showcases a few NEW products! :) This fantastic snowman image (love the different patterns on each part!) is from the new November Unity Store Kit, Believe in Fairytales. The gorgeous silk ribbon is a
color new to our store, Taupe. I layered on a SU felt flurry with a rhinestone center to complete the card.

I also wanted to show you this card with our May Arts twill ribbon in Teal! The teal ribbon matches perfectly with the SU In Color Bermuda Bay! I do apologize for the awful lighting in this picture!

On another note, we are still waiting to hear back from last week's Sketch winner, Kathryn B! We will give Kathryn until tomorrow morning to respond (hope she will!), and then we will need to choose a new winner.

I was unable to play this time around, but promise to have a card showcasing some new RIBBON for you later! Please click the links on my sidebar for our DT members, whose projects are previewed at the top of this post!

Henry Anderson Memorial Stamp

This week has been a very sad one as a fellow stamper, blogger, and friend Sarah Anderson's 3 year old son Henry passed away. Little Henry was unable to overcome a virus that made him ill last week.

Lorie Ames has organized a way to donate for a memorial for Henry. Henryloved his local zoo and visited it almost every day in the summer. As a memorial, trees will be planted there in his honor. Melissa at Pink Cat Studio has created a digital stamp to help raise funds for a tree for Henry. All proceeds from the sale of the digi stamp, minus Paypal costs, will go towards the tree. If you would like to donate towards the tree, please visit this webpage to purchase the digi stamp:
http://www.pinkcatstudio.com/Digital/DigiStamps/Animals/Zoo/GiraffeAndMonkey.htm

Please click on our DT blog members' links to see a couple of cards created with this adorable stamp.

Another way to donate to the memorial is to print out this form and mail in your donation directly:
http://www.ci.oshkosh.wi.us/Parks/PDF/MemorialTreePamphlet.pdf

Please write on the form that the donation is for Sarah Anderson's son Henry. Once all of the money is collected, a tree and location will be selected. If you have questions about the form please contact our former Limelight DT member Lorie Ames. Lorie will be in contact with Sarah along this memorial journey to ensure that her wishes are followed. To contact Lorie, please visit her blog at

If you don't know Sarah and would like to learn more about her, please visit her blog: http://scrampinmama.blogspot.com/

Thank you for your help to raise money for a tree in memory of sweet Henry.

November's Guest Designer: Kerry Angeles!!!

We have just loved having Sarah Martina as our guest designer for the month of October! THANK YOU so much, Sarah, for all of your amazing creations this month!. ;)

But it is now November, and we have another lovely, sweet, gifted lady stepping into the Limelight! Please welcome Kerry Angeles as our guest designer for November!!

A bit about Kerry:
Hi there! I am a SAHM to two wonderful boys and am lucky to have a great husband too! When my first son was born 7 years ago, I became interested in scrapbooking. I love capturing and documenting our memories in such a special way. A few years ago I was introduced to stamping and card making and have been busy crafting ever since! This year I was asked to be on the Design Team for my local scrapbook store which was definitely a big honor for me! I am also on the Etsy Inspired Design Team, and am so excited to be Guest Designing for Mandy and Limelight Papercrafts this month! Prior to staying home with my children I was a counselor for children and families and I also taught preschool for a few years. Working with children has always been another passion of mine. I love dance, reality tv (yes I can admit it), and reading just about any book I can get my hands on. I look forward to sharing lots of cards and projects with you this month featuring fabulous Limelight products! :)

Here are a few of Kerry's recent FABULOUS creations!

Okay, and this little owl card she created for this week's Etsy Inspired Challenge is the cutest EVER. In the world. Seriously.
