Joy To the World

I am really trying to build a stash of cute, simple Christmas cards to actually be SENT OUT this year!! :) Anyone else in the same boat?

This card was created using SU's Delightful Decorations.... and get this... I made four of these cards, cut out all of the ornaments oh-so-carefully, and THEN remembered that I OWN the ORNAMENT PUNCH that goes along with this set! Duh! Silly me... Anyway, this only took a few minutes per card even WITH all of the cutting. ;) I used one of the more traditional pieces of Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses paper (back in stock TOMORROW!), mounted on SU Riding Hood Red. I "hung" the two red ornaments using silver cord, then added a little bling with Silver Rhinestones. I adhered a strip of Riding Hood Red along the bottom of the card, stamped with this sentiment from PTI's Winter Swirls stamp set.

Tell me your plan for getting your Christmas cards done and SENT this year, and you could win this Unity Dream Tree stamp:

I will draw a winner tomorrow night after 8PM and post the winner here on the blog sometime after that! Just wanna share some love as we prepare for the holidays!

This year, instead of sending out all of the same card, I am sending out all of the Christmas cards that I have been making for my DT's and for the challenges that I participate in. I already have 23 cards done! If I get into a pinch, I have a CAS card that I can duplicate quickly for the remainder of the cards I need! :)

Thanks for a chance to win! :)

What a lovely card! I would love that ornament punch! If only my budget would all me to buy it!
For my Christmas card plan, I found the card I wanted and decided to mass produce it. I participate in a Thursday work group, so I took one step of supplies with me for each meeting and had them finished in a month. I am all done and ready to label and send them out!

Hi Mandy :)
Thanks for the awesome stamp giveaway!
To be honest with you, I really don't have a plan for getting my cards done and sent. This means that come Dec. 1st, I'll start to panic, and thats when I'll sit down and churn out all my cards! I never learn! :)

I'm with Emily! I will use what I have in my stash already. Most are cards that I have made for parties or for challenges. I am also tempted to get one of those photo cards made as my daughter is such a draw for the family and we are about to go on a family vacation!

I've been good about making the cards - last year I made oodles - but I never got to the tedious part of addressing envelopes and writing personal letters. My plan is to address the envelopes and put a stamp on them. That will force me to write on and mail the cards as I'd hate to waste all that work or have to add extra postage next year.

I think it might work :-)

Love your card. Beautiful and easy to make several of. Perfect for this time of year.

I think I have all my cards made already! (I have to double check mhy list.) I have some from last year that I didn't use (they were all one-of-a-kind) I have made many this year as time and the mood struck. I am taking this Friday off work and a friend is coming over to stamp more. I might make a few more cards or probably will work on teacher gifts and gift card holders.

I love your card! Thank you for the chance to win.

My plan is to sit down one afternoon with you and knock a bunch out! Last year I sent out all hand made cards and hope to do the same again. It just means so much more when you put love into each card! :)

That is such a great card! I agree with you- keep the cards sweet and simple! As far as getting them all addressed I am planning to bring them all with me as a sit in line for the Black Friday deals this year. It will be something to keep me busy!

I usually mass produce, designing a cas layout that is quick and easy to make. This year I'm doing the same, but have also been making other cards here and there that I plan to send out. I'm also cutting down on the x-mas card list! Does everyone we ever knew need a handmade card? I think not ;)

I have been stamping the images and then coloring and cutting them out in the evenings while hanging out with the family, I make two sets - one for our lawn care customers and then the friends and family. Since the lawn ones are the same and alot of cutting out, I am just doing them in sections. The friends and family ones are just coming along slowly as I make challenge cards.

I am sending out cards that I have made for challenges and super simple ones using phrases as my focal point. I am determined to get mine done and in the mail this year.
