Euphoria...

I am in *LOVE* with Basic Grey's new Euphoria line! It is one of those lines of paper that you just KEEP using because you just adore it and its endless possibilities! When I was working on my design team work for the month, I kept reaching for it! So...I sure hope Johanna feels the same way I do about Euphoria!! :)

The first card was inspired by something JanTink made last fall, I think.

And the inside...

The second card is a triangle trifold. Directions can be found here.

I'll be back later with the card details! I am teaching a summer enrichment course this week with Union County schools, so I'll be VERY busy during the day. ;)

Paper Trunk on SALE!

Who doesn't LOVE a great sale?? This week you can try Paper Trunk recycled patterned papers at a discount!

Happy Summer!

Happy first day of summer to all of you! To celebrate, I made this cute and simple summer card featuring justjohanna's Odd Bird Planet Castle stamp. I definitely see a sandcastle when I look at this adorable image! And I had the PERFECT paper to use with it! I paper pieced the castle using Sandylion's Travel Paper-Sand so it would look like it truly was built with beach sand! The background paper is by Flair, and I love all of the little beachy sayings on it! :) And did you see the BLACK RHINESTONES in the corners!?!? LOVE them!

On another note, Euphoria is IN THE LIMELIGHT! I received my shipment today of the new products, which you can browse HERE! I also ordered the Romani 6x6 Pads, if you love that line as much as I do!

Also in stock are a few new Pink Cat Studio stamps. You guys LOVE your Pink Cat! (Me too!) Click HERE to see them!

HAPPY SUMMER!!!

Stamps: Castle (OBP). Paper: Basic Black, White, Sandylion Travel Paper-Sand, Flair Hit the Beach. Ink: Adirondack Pitch Black. Accessories: Kaisercraft Black Rhinestones, Turquoise Stickles.

NEW Basic Grey!

That's right! BRAND new! The Basic Grey Euphoria collection will be delivered to Limelight Papercrafts this Friday, June 20, and I'll be adding it to the store after receiving it! These papers are a MUST-HAVE!! The colors are so bright and beautiful; you are sure to love them! We'll be carrying the 6x6 Paper Pad, 12x12 papers in Cool and Bless, the glazed brads (LOVE these!), and the rub-ons! And for good measure, I ordered some of the Romani 6x6 paper pads...just cuz Romani has been my favorite all-time Basic Grey line. The Romani pads will be at a reduced price since I paid a reduced price for them (they are retiring). Here are some sneak peeks of the Euphoria line!

Are you drooling yet?? ;) See you Friday at Limelight Papercrafts!

Tying a Bow with a FORK!

Did you catch that?!? Did you know you can tie a bow using a FORK??? Check it out on Diana's blog, Stamping with Di.

Her blog is awesome and she has the funniest sense of humor! I kept reading all of her posts! I had to pull myself away! Anyway, hope you are having a great week! We're almost halfway through it!

Aloha! And Sales, Too! :)

Well, aloha to you! I made this card using the Lime Tart Sketch for the month, and I'm really happy with its bright summery cheeriness! :) Also, the Vacation Bible School theme for this year is Outrigger Island, a Hawaiian theme, and this card helps me get in the mood! Limelight Papercrafts is stocking certain items with VBS in mind, and I'll actually be showing some suggested projects you could do at your VBS (or with your kids or at a barbecue or for a gift, etc.!) using papercrafting supplies! :) Those projects will be posted in the next week or so. ANYWAY! This card uses the aloha stamp in the jj mix font. I stamped the little Aloha Chicklet on top of the word. :)

Stamps: aloha (jj mix), aloha chicklet right (justjohanna's OBP). Paper: Pink Passion, Only Orange, Whisper White. Ink: Palette Noir. Accessories: Copic Markers, Sheer Pink Ribbon, Prima Flowers, Silver Brads, Rhinestones, Marvy Scalloped Oval Punch, Hawaiian Flower Patterned Paper (Sorry! A scrap!!).

This week we have a special sale! The Summer Solstice is on the calendar for June 20 this year...That is this week! I thought it only appropriate to have a summer-themed sale. In addition to the free bottle of Star Dust Stickles we are offering with every order still, we are extending our free shipping with orders over $30 due to the great response we received. The summer-themed sale items are as follows:
Have a great Monday! :)

Owl Week Extension

Johanna is the coolest! She is extending Owl Week through tomorrow night!!! Click HERE for details and challenges! Need extra motivation? There are P R I Z E S!

The Coolest Card I've EVER Made

Yes, I think so. I made a card so perfectly suited to my dad for Father's Day! This is a picture of my dad on Christmas. We gave him some Rap Grillz as a gag gift... He put them on and I took advantage of a photo opp! I thought the justjohanna's Odd Bird Planet sentiment that reads "Fashion Tip #12 - Try Something That Is Not You Once In A While" would be PERFECT!! These are Rap Grillz:

I used this card on the Two Peas in a Bucket website because I am hosting a challenge, starting today and ending next Saturday. This is the Worldwide Stamping Week, and my challenge is as follows:
WSW-Opposites Attract
Make a card, tag or ATC using complementary colors (opposite colors on the color wheel). You can use orange and blue, purple and yellow, red and green (get a head start on those Xmas cards!!), or even black and white! Just make sure they are opposites! Use any stamps you like but if you use a justjohanna stamp, you will receive an additional entry in the random drawing. Enter as many times as you like. I'll draw and announce a winner on Sunday, June 22nd.
RAK: from justjohanna's Odd Bird Planet: A batch of handmade cards from the justjohanna design team; a small embellishment treat; a $10 off your next justjohanna order coupon; AND an Al In Space Stamp!

You can find more details of my challenge HERE, and you can find lots more fun challenges on THIS FORUM! I do hope you will play along! Link any cards and creations you make to my challenge thread on Two Peas, again HERE.

Stamps: Try Something That's Not You (justjohanna's OBP). Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Ink: Palette Noir. Accessories: Black Brads, Photo.

What?!? More Cupcakes??

Well, in a word, yes. ;) How can anyone resist the sweet cuteness of a cupcake? Whether they are a baked delight or a stamped image, cupcakes are just so tempting! I again used justjohanna's new I Heart Cupcakes image for this card. I love it! I apologize for the slightly blurred image (I used my scanner and didn't pay close enough attention!) but I think you can see everything all right. I also used Cupcake Row and just kept repeating that stamp. I hope you are all doing well today and that you continue to stay cool! We don't have much planned for today, and for that I am thankful. It is nice to just be open and not too "scheduled" sometimes. Have a great Tuesday!!
Stamps: I Heart Cupcakes, Cupcake Row (justjohanna's Odd Bird Planet). Paper: Real Red, PTI White. Ink: Adirondack Pitch Black. Accessories: Christmas Red Stickles, Star Dust Stickles, Copic Markers, Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Black Grosgrain Ribbon, Scallop Punch.

By the way... Would you like one of these???

For FREE??

Well, buy anything at Limelight Papercrafts, and you'll receive one for FREE!!

Beachy Thoughts

I don't remember who made this paper (it was a scrap), but I love it! It makes you think of all the GREAT things about the beach! It is very hot here today (supposed to get up to 100 degrees!!) so I wish there was an ocean to cool off in nearby. We have a neighborhood pool, but it just is not the same, is it?? This card is a simple one. The only thing popping off of it is the shell or two I cut out of another piece of this patterned paper. But I still like it. :) Hope you are staying cool and having a great day!

Stamps: Fancy Jellyfish (justjohanna's Odd Bird Planet). Paper: Waste Not Paper White, Scrap Patterned Paper, Taken with Teal. Ink: Black. Accessories: Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Pumpkin Grosgrain Ribbon, Pop Up Dots.

Lime Flowers

I really wanted to try the grid technique that has been so popular. I just did a basic grid on my card stock by scoring the Gable Green at 1/2" intervals. I used my scoring blade on my paper cutter because I do not own a ScorPal. I think the result was really cute though, and I hope you can see it in this picture! I think it was SUCH a sunny day when I took the photo that it was actually too much light. But hey, how much can you actually complain about a sunny day? ;)
Stamps: Lime Flowers (justjohanna's Odd Bird Planet). Paper: Gable Green, Bazzill Coconut Swirl. Ink: Palette Noir. Accessories: Black Grosgrain Ribbon, Lime Green Stickles.

Yesterday we went as a family to the Taste of Charlotte, a festival in uptown Charlotte this weekend that features the best of the city's restaurants, etc. It was lots of fun! We sampled spring rolls, pizza, rice, and the best little coconut macaroons! Katy really enjoyed strolling around outside, and Cameron loved playing in the kids' area and *of course* eating!! His first sample was a slice of watermelon, so he was in heaven. Here are some cute pictures documenting the great time we had!!

Ready to go...

Cameron enjoying his slice of ice cold watermelon; Katy munching on her stroller straps... ;)

Drew had fun playing a racing simulator game; I enjoyed a 5-minute massage from the Ballantyne Spa booth.

Having fun with some cute kids!

Cameron on the way home. :)

Ice Cream Float

Mmm....Who doesn't love ice cream when it is hot out? I was VERY pleasantly surprised to find my absolute *favorite* brand of ice cream at our Harris Teeter grocery store down the street from my house! That's right, Ciao Bella! It is a hard-to-find brand, but I noticed that a different HT had a few flavors last week, so I bought the Key Lime Pie flavor. Last night I got Coconut Sorbetto. It was DELICIOUS and just made me think of the beach and vacation!!! Next I will probably try the Blood Orange Sorbetto because that is one of the available flavors, but I am really wanting to get my taste buds on a carton of Pineapple or Cherry with Soft Chocolate Chunk!

The top card was made to replenish my stash of cards to include with each order from the store. It is a 3x3 notecard. It uses the Stampendous Ice Cream Float stamp that is on sale for only $5 this week! Hurry and get yours! It is SO cute! I don't know if you can tell, but I used Glossy Accents on the ice cream glass. Click on the links in the description to see the items in the store.
Stamps: Ice Cream Float (Stampendous), Amazing to Zany (SU). Paper: Very Vanilla. Ink: Palette Noir, Pink Passion. Accessories: Fuschia Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Silver Spica Pen, Liquid Applique, Christmas Red Stickles, Glossy Accents.

This second card is also a 3x3 that features the new Double Scoop stamp that can be bought in Johanna's store. Isn't it too cute? I used an old piece of SU designer paper that looked like a waffle cone! I think this was from Spring Showers, but I'm not sure!! I turned the paper at an angle to get the diamond-shaped design.
Stamps: Double Scoop (justjohanna's OBP). Paper: Kraft, SU DP. Ink: Palette Noir. Accessories: Copic Markers, Liquid Applique, Red Grosgrain Ribbon. OH, MY! THIS CARD HAS NO GLITTER!!! ;)

It is hot here! We are trying to stay cool! Hope you have a cool, ice cream-filled day! :)

Wedding Card and Winners!

I made this card using a sketch, and I didn't like what I came up with as I was making it... But once it was finished and I was taking the photo, I really started to like it! The colors really just look elegant and sophisticated. :) I used Kim's Layer Cake, which is new to justjohanna. (And you can get it here! I think it's the perfect wedding cake. Also, I am finding that I love the 6x6 Paper Pads. I have a hard time actually using patterned paper, but I cannot wait to use these! They are perfect for cardmaking!!

Stamps: Kim's Layer Cake. Paper: Blush Blossom, PTI White, Chocolate Chip, Sultry 6x6 Paper Pad. Ink: Chocolate Chip, Blush Blossom. Accessories: Sponge, Corner Rounder Punch, Prima Flowers, Stamping Bella Pearl Baubles, Scallop Punch, Clear Atyou Glitter Pen.

Another note...many of you have said you'd like any kinds of kits. It IS in the works for us to put together stamping/scrapping kits to sell in the store, so keep your suggestions coming! But for now... we have exclusive Prima kits! And they are gorgeous!!! Check them out HERE!

I love Key Lime Pie... and for some reason it is best in Florida.
But my best way to eat a lime is in a diet coke with rum OR with a cold beer.
thanks for the OPP to play.
