It seems like a funny day to post about lemonade. It's 39 degrees here and gray and, well, dismal outside! But who can resist the taste of a tart, refreshing, ice-cold glass of lemonade? And almost as wonderful is a great lemonade stamp image! I love all things citrusy when it comes to stamps! I love the look of the glitter on the lemons, and I HAD to use touches of pink on this card. It just made me think of pink lemonade!

While we're talking about lemonade, I thought I'd share my favorite homemade lemonade recipe. It's a little bit of work, but it is SO worth it! If you've ever made homemade lemonade, you know what I mean. The recipe is from Southern Living Magazine...

Prep: 10 min., Cook: 5 min. Use one cup of sugar if you plan to serve lemonade with a simple syrup. To extract the most juice from lemons, microwave them at HIGH for about 15 seconds.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup water

1 to 1 1/2 cups sugar object

1 tablespoon grated lemon rind (about 2 lemons)

1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice (about 13 lemons)

7 cups ice water

Preparation:

1. Bring 1/2 cup water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Stir in sugar and grated lemon rind, stirring until sugar is dissolved; remove from heat. Stir in lemon juice and ice water.
Limeade: Substitute 1 Tbsp. grated lime rind for lemon rind and 1 1/2 cups fresh lime juice for lemon juice, and proceed with recipe as directed.
Yield: Makes 2 1/2 qt.
