Monster Halloween

Um, yeah, remember Sketch and Product Challenge 55?? Yep, I finally made a card for that sketch. I've had some health issues....pregnancy and non-pregnancy related (no cause for worry...I am okay, just had some things keeping me down!), and I've had a hard time doing many things, including cardmaking! I have basically been just doing what needs to get done to get by, and that's about it! It hasn't been fun, but I am pretty sure I'm finally pulling through it!!

I had an idea in my head immediately for this card, and I am so happy to put it together. I used the Nicest Place to Be Unity Itty Bitty stamp along with a PTI sentiment. The image was colored with Koh-i-noor pencils and accented with Diamond Stickles. The patterned papers are all from the Jillibean Soup Monster Stew collection (so adorable!!), and black rick rack borders the edges. I punched a star of the 2 Tbsp. Slime and glittered the edges using the SU Silver Glass Glitter I'm loving!!

Hope this card puts you in the Halloween spirit for tomorrow! We always do a Trunk or Treat at my church (Candlewyck Baptist, if you're local...would love to see you!), so we're excited to be getting ready for all of that!!

Boo!

Happy Friday! Have you played along with our Limelight Sketch and Product Challenge for this week? If not, you have through Monday morning to play! I can't wait to see what you come up with...and one lucky cardmaker will win a Pink Paislee Father Christmas prize package!

My card for today was created based on the Card Positioning Systems Sketch 190. I loved the simplicity and versatility of the sketch. I created a (yes, pink!) Halloween card for my daughter's preschool teacher, and I included an m&m tube to match. I started with a Kraft card base and added my Raspberry Fizz layer. I added an Eyelet border die border to the top and bottom of the pink in black. The spider is my FAVORITE part of this card! I made him using a larger black button, wiggle eyes, and some black burlap string. Mr. Spider's silk strand trail is the new Silver Glass Glitter from SU. LOVE THIS STUFF! Good thing I accidentally bought two jars of it. ;) The "BOO" sentiment is actually some metallic silver chipboard letters from Colorbok that I got at Target for a buck!

Have a wonderful weekend!

SKETCH 59: Fall/Halloween Colors

It's Limelight Papercrafts Sketch Time!

The focus is on using Fall and/or Halloween colors!

There is a FABULOUS PRIZE...details below...

For my card, I started with a Basic Black card base, and I built my area of four "blocks" with holographic pumpkin stickers from the Stampendous Pumpkin Treats Stickers sheet. The sentiment at the bottom is from the same sticker set! For my ribbon treatment, I used both some silver sparkly tinsel from the WP Tinsel Trim Card and some Raven Tulle! What I love about this card is the pumpkin face I created on my plain cream button! I used the negatives from my jack-o-lantern stickers (what was left after I removed the feature image) to transform a simple button into a grinning jack-o-lantern!

This card is going to be for Cameron's preschool teacher on Friday, so we created a matching test tube of m&m's to give with it!

Sketch 58 - FLOWERS!

It's Limelight Papercrafts Sketch Time!

The focus is on FLOWERS!

There is a FABULOUS PRIZE...details below...

For my card, I started with a Vintage Cream base (although it does look white in the picture here! I really need to replace that photo studio light bulb.....) and layered on a piece of NEW Webster's Pages paper from the Waiting for Santa/Sweet Season paper pack. I then added on a piece of SU Melon Mambo cardstock. I punched two of the corners of the pink cardstock with my Ticket Corner Punch, and I then placed a couple of Black Rhinestones in the spaces left. The sentiment piece was die cut using the Papertrey Fillable Frames 4 die, and I stamped a sentiment from a past Unity Stampin' Store Kit. The flowers were punched using the Beautiful Blooms 2 dies, also from Papertrey, from the same Webster's Pages paper pack, and the two flowers were cut and curled for dimension. I added a Glitter Sparkler to the center of the flower to complete it. The ribbon is some black sparkly tinsel from the WP Tinsel Trim Card. Lots of fabulous ribbons on one card. Love it. ;)

The Details:
**Use the sketch provided and the focus is on FLOWERS! (primas, handmade, etc.)
**Key word for SCS upload is LLPC058
**Post a comment with a link to your card on right here on this post by Sunday, Oct 17 at midnight (or before winner is drawn Monday a.m.).
