It's time for another Limelight Sketch and Product Challenge! And the focus this time around is on SENTIMENTS! This week's challenge was actually inspired by the wonderful Amy Tsuruta! She created this card, which I fell in love with!!:
I thought that the sketch for this card would be PERFECT for our challenge, and Amy graciously allowed us to use her sketch. Thanks, Amy! Can't wait to see what you come up with for your cards this time around!
This is the card I created. I haven't made a card in probably over a week (gasp!), and I feel like this card is not my usual style. But it is cute and simple, and it fits the bill for the four year old girl who has a birthday party tomorrow night. :) I used Pink Fairy for my card base and added on two pieces of paper from the Lemonade paper pad, scalloping the edges, of course. I added the cutie poodle from the June Bug Chip Sticker Shapes pack, and I made her wish someone a sweet day using the word bubble from SU's Crazy Cool and the sentiment from Mix Up of Cuteness (Unity). If you look at some of the diamonds in the argyle design, you'll notice that I painted on some Pixie Dust Blingz to add a little shimmer! The polka dots on the pooch are actually highlighted with Blingz as well, though it is a little more subtle!
**Use the sketch above and include a SENTIMENT!

It's time for another Limelight Sketch and Product Challenge! And the focus this time around is on BUTTONS! Seriously...who doesn't LOVE buttons? :) For my card, I (of course!) used some new Basic Grey! I used papers all from the Lemonade 6x6 Paper Pad, other than the cardstock matting! I used SU Kraft as my card base and Basic Black for the mats for the layers. The stamp set used is Birdie Inspiration from Unity Stamp Co... What a cute, fun set! And you can get it for 20% off this week only!! :) I stamped the frame in Adirondack Pitch Black and the sentiment and bird in Purely Pomegranate. The focus this week was buttons, and I decided to make my own button! I changed the sketch a little bit...there should be three buttons on the bottom right, but I opted for one LARGE button. I made this using the Bazzill Chips - 1 1/4" Circles. I adhered more Lemonade paper to the "button", inked the edges in Purely Pomegranate ink, and added Wine Rhinestones for the button holes.
**Use the sketch above and dress it up with BUTTONS!

Another note... you guys LOVE your Lemonade! :) More Basic Grey is on its way. If you don't see something in the store you would like, hang in there! As always, please feel free to contact me for more details! :)

Just a quick post today! Not a great picture, but this is a card I made along with one of the NEW Basic Grey Lemonade Do Me a Favors! What a great little birthday set, right? :) The layout for the card is one of our former Limelight Sketch and Product Challenge sketches that I just LOVE and turn to all the time! :) The featured papers are all from the Lemonade collection, and the rhinestones on the butterfly are the NEW Kaisercraft Wine color. :) Lovely!
The favors are SUPER-EASY with the directions, and the edges are super-smooth, even though they are die cuts! You know how sometimes you punch out die cuts and are left with the icky, bumpy rough edges? I was excited to not have that happen with these. Possibly the best thing is what the treat favor is filled with! Have you seen these??
YUM! These are a must-try... COCONUT m&m's. I'll leave you on that note.

It's the SIXTH! That means it is time for a Six Chicks Project Parade.... And this month, the focus is on Stars and Stripes! For my project, I chose to create a candy bar wrap using the striped paper from the new June Bug collection! This will make a perfect addition to the baby gift I am bringing a friend today! Of course, the chocolate will be for the mommy, not the baby. ;)
Paper: June Bug 6x6 Paper Pad, Regal Rose. Ink: Night of Navy. Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Piper Alpha Chips - White Chocolate, June Bug Pops, June Bug Chipboard Sticker Shapes.
You will NOT want to miss a single one of the DT's projects! Amy, Ryann, Lorie, Lee, Jennifer, Lisa, and AJ all rocked it out this month!! Be sure to check out all of the DT links in my sidebar to see what they have come up with!

We are so thrilled to sponsor this week's Etsy Inspired Card Challenge! The fabulous featured shop this time around is Whichgoose. Whichgoose is a boutique full of GORGEOUS hair accessories such as pins, wreaths, wraps, and combs. They are adorned with ribbons, vines, flowers, and butterflies! Be sure to visit Whichgoose on Etsy and browse around. Then choose one (or more) of the lovely creations as an inspiration point for a card creation of your own! Link up your creation on Ashley's blog no later than this Friday at noon PST to be considered for this week's prize package, sponsored by Limelight! Up for grabs is a package containing Light Blue Prima Sprites, Prima Butterflies - E, and a jar of Spring Bloom Dew Drops. As you will see, the prize package was inspired by the shop's offerings as well.
My card for this week was inspired by a couple of items for sale in the Whichgoose shop. I feel like the card is a bit of a stretch from the originals! I can't wait to get home from the beach (well, kind of...) to try another card that stays truer to the original! :) Nonetheless, my card was inspired by some of the colors in this comb:
And the butterflies in this adornment:
Stamps: Bevy of Butterflies (thanks to AJ for the RAK!!), Goody Goody Gumdrops. Paper: Basic Grey Lemonade, Purely Pomegranate, Basic Black, Cool Carribbean, GP White. Ink: Versamark, Purely Pomegranate. Accessories: Black EP, SU Vintage Brads.
By the way, is anyone else having trouble with scheduled posts NOT posting??

Happy Friday to everyone! My family will be enjoying the day with some shopping and playing in the sand! Woohoo! Gotta love the beach. Pray that Cameron has a good attitude all day...he has had a rough few days. But we did ALL get some good rest last night! We slept in until 8am, which was SO nice...
I made this card for my husband this past week. He wasn't feeling well, so I left some encouragement for him through this card. It uses the new June Bug papers and June Bug Pops... These popped-up, 3D stickers are embellished with foil and rhinestones, and they are SO much fun! This line in general is just happy and bright! I accented one corner with three little Kaisercraft Yellow Rhinestones. The card base is SU Pumpkin Pie.
Hope you have a wonderful day... What's in your plans? Parties? BBQ's? Fireworks? The pool? Anyone at the beach, too? Be sure to check in tomorrow for a special post. Limelight is sponsoring the prize for the Etsy challenge tomorrow! Hooray!
My cousin's sweet little boy turns TWO today! We sent this card to him... I used the Stampendous Cupcake Numbers Clear Stamp set (LOVE it!), which allows you to create those cute number candles for the cake!
We will be going to the beach this morning (after a fun time of food allergy testing for me...woo hoo!), but I'll have short posts up for you to see! We'll be back Sunday, so all orders placed through the holiday weekend will ship out Monday!
Stamps: Cupcake Numbers. Paper:: Taken with Teal, GP White, October Afternoon Cherry Hill. Ink: Taken with Teal, Pitch Black Adirondack. Accessories: Pebbles Shimmery Chalk, Orange Stickles, Yellow Stickles, Corner Rounder Punch, Raven Tulle, Scalloped Edge Punch.
I still love making 3x3 cards! They come together in a flash, and they always look so cute! The Hello card features the new October Afternoon Cherry Hill paper and rub-ons....so sweet and cheery! The Life is a Song Card showcases the Birdie Inspiration stamp set from Unity Stamp Company. I am absolutely loving that stamp set! Unity sentiments are ALWAYS the best, in my opinion, and I go to them very often!
Paper: Regal Rose, Very Vanilla, Cherry Hill 8x8 Paper Pad. Accessories: October Afternoon Hens in the Cupboard Rub-ons, Center-Ruffle Ribbon - Pink, Soft Pink Rhinestones.
Life is a Song card:
Stamps: Birdie Inspiration (Unity Stamp Company). Ink: Baja Breeze. Paper: Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, GP White, Basic Black. Accessories: Ticket Corner Punch, Silver Rhinestones.
